How long is "long term"? You really should change fluid every 2 years, but most people never change it out until a caliper is serviced or something goes wrong, which could be a decade or more. So the standard Castrol Low Moisture Absorption (the fluid recommended by Girling) has a maximum recommended life of 2 years, but you can get more.
