Harold:  the club exists for the members, and they should know what happens.   Organizations afraid to operate with transparency are trying to hide something.

I want to know because  I found the topic interesting and have always been curious to know how many members the DOA has.
DMA makes no secret of their membership numbers.

Why would anyone want to know that information - really? You give them info and they armchair you to death. If you don't give them information - relevant or not - they complain you are a secret society.

Be careful - most of the club business should not be public. They are members, not owners. If they were shareholders that would be different.
