Re: [DML] Lost or Stolen front grille and fascia

It may have been stolen, but I had one just fly off my car while driving. It was a car that I had recently purchased so I am guessing that some of the clips were missing. I was moving a freeway speeds when it happened and hit a good bump. Fortunately I heard something and immediately began looking around and saw it flying down the road in my rear-view mirror.

Subject: [DML] Lost or Stolen front grille and fascia

Group,

A bit of bad news today that I wanted to let you know about. I was visiting my friend Ray in Nashua NH today to try and fix the turn signals on his D, and to our shock found that the front grille and DMC logo were MISSING. He last had the car out in the Boston area on Saturday, 9/19 and stopped at a Wendy's for dinner on the way back to Nashua. The D was parked in a secure lot while in Boston. Still, since I am hard pressed to believe that the grille could simply fall off (and I would think he'd have noticed that happening), we are convinced someone stole it. Probably while he was at Wendy's.

If anyone sees or hears of a grille and emblem being sold in the Boston or Nashua areas, it may be Ray's. Please let me know at f14dflyerATcomcast. net

And if anyone happens to have a grille and emblem for sale, he'd like to know, just in case his insurance doesn't cover this.

Thanks

-Dave J
