[DML] Re: What I'm looking for

Hi William.

Here's one man's unsolicited opinion.

Ebay is a good way to go. You'll find one eventually. If it's near central Virginia, I can help you inspect it to determine its value. The frame in particular warrants careful inspection. About the interior, I respectfully caution you not to underestimate the cost of fixing a poor interior. Delorean interior parts are very expensive unless you make your own.

If you're looking to save a buck on a budget Delorean, you might care to adopt the other approach, that is, getting a good looking Delorean that doesn't run well, or at all. It is much less labor and money to get one running that doesn't run, than to get one looking good that doesn't look good. Delorean mechanical parts are mostly designed in from other cars, and are more widely available and less expensive than Delorean cosmetic parts, which are Delorean specific and in very limited supply, therefore, expensive.

They're fun cars, and get a lot of attention. Unless you're shy, I encourage you to wholeheartedly pursue getting one. They are fun, cool cars. The Delorean Car Shows are an absolute blast, and you'll meet many wonderful, interesting, selfless people that you wouldn't otherwise cross pathes with.

Rick Gendreau.

Interior .. decent condition would even consider poor interior car..because that can be fixed relatively easy. Basically a running car that I can learn on.
