[DML] Re: Headlight switch repairs

After reviewing the wiring diaghram I realized there is NO protection for the wiring or the headlight switch in the relay circuit that controls the headlights! The only fuse protection is the fuse after the switch in line with the wire that powers the marker/parking lamps. On most cars they do not fuse the headlights. Instead you usually see circuit breakers. That way at least you can get something going once-in-a-while as opposed to a fuse, once it blows it's "Lights Out". Same for the wiper. In any case, the wiring circuit for the headlights leaves a lot of room for improvement. Another point, that little bulb inside the switch that illuminates the button also generates *some* heat. Again, with relays if something goes really wrong, at least it wil spare the switch. Assuming you provide some current limiting device that powers the relays.
