[DML] Re: Rare and irreplaceable parts question

Just about any service parts you may require are available. Some
replacement parts are not. For example, it will be difficult to find a
replacement grooved hood. You *could* get a flat hood easily. Not
cheap, but easily. Most of the wearable parts are either obtainable
through vendor sources or are being reproduced. We are fortunate as
Delorean owners in that many of the parts of the car are not specific
to Delorean so are still available through other sources. Most of the
engine and electrical parts are like this. Tires are a problem but
still obtainable. Shop around among the Delorean vendors. They do not
all have the same inventory and pricing. Some things can also be found
on E-Bay. Many parts are repairable or rebuildable like brakes, body
panels, etc. If you are taking a car out of long-term storage you will
most likely need mostly fuel system parts, brake system parts, tires,
filters, fluids, and a battery. All of that kind of stuff is
available. As far as '81s,'82's or '83's they really are pretty
similar as far as serviceable (wearable) parts are concerned.

any parts that I can no longer replace should something happen to the car?
