Re: [DML] Re: Stalling issues

Yes.? Oops... 750. I forgot it doesn't have the helicopter engine. Or an extra "0" on the tach.
The CPR is about a year old. The Lambda sensor is two or three years old. The Idle speed motor was checked about three year ago and was working ok at that time, but it appears original. I have a spare- I'll start by replacing that. I don't suppose I could be that lucky... Given the fact that my less-than-two--years-old Thermotime switch was bad, I guess anything is up for grabs.

I hope that idling @ 7500 is a typo! I have to assume you meant to say
750. That is a little on the low side. Try bumping it up to 775 or
even a little more. My first guess would be the Control Pressure
Regulator aka warm-up regulator. It is supposed to enrichen the
mixture when the motor is first started up till it runs for a while
and warms up, then it leans the mixture. If it is not idling smoothly
(or at least smoothly for a Delorean!) you might have a dirty
injector, a bad ignition wire, or a misgapped spark plug. Other
possabilities include vacuum leaks, a problem with the ignition ECU,
the idle ECU, a valve adjustment, a low cylinder, etc. You need to
have all 6 cylinders working evenly to get a smooth idle. Start off by
making sure the idle motor is working and being turned on when you let
the car idle.
