[DML] aftermarket temp gauge suggestions

Hello,
After some testing I've determined that my stock temperature gauges is
not very accurate. It reads lower than my actual coolant temperature.
I replaced the sender but still have the same too-low readings. So I
don't trust this gauge and I would like to install an aftermarket one.
I like Autometer mechanical gauges, but with a mid-engine the capillary
tube would not be long enough. Any suggestions on an aftermarket temp
gauge? I'd also be interested in thoughts as to where in the
passengers compartment to mount it, somewhere discreet. Any
suggestions or experiences?
Thanks
Steven Clark
