We were travelling back home on Sunday with 3 "D"'s. Two were automatics and
they both had the same problem you related within 5 minutes of each other.
Bucking and fuel pump buzzing. We found that if you filled up the fuel tank
right away the cool new gas that it would get us about 60-80 miles before it
happened all over again. The 5 speed didn't experience this problem. The way
it was related to me is that the automatic transmission gives off more heat
than the 5 speed.

If it happens again head for a gas station & fill up. My guess is when it
happened to you that you were at least at 3/4 of a tank of gas or less. Am I
right???
