[DML] Re: brake caliper painting

I sent my calipers into Hervey for rebulding and zinc plating. He did
a great job and so far the plating has held up really well. Still
looks like new.

However, I don't know much about selecting a good paint or if plating
is better. I knew Hervey sells zinc-plated calipers. Are they worth
the expense? I want something that will hold up in the long run and
look "restored". Those zinc calipers sure look nice!

bring them in to a bead-blasting shop and let them go at it? Any
special precautions? What is the best route - paint or plating? I
don't want to have to mess with these again for a long time.
