Re: [DML] Re: Dead battery fix was:Lauren's Car

Mike and all.? I have a battery cut off switch in my D and other vehicles.? The difference from the other cars is that only the D has an alarm; door popers, and other goodies and thus the grounds for those items are wired around the cut off switch.? I've decided that since my car is stored at my house and I am always with it where ever it is that I need to put those grounds on the cut off switch.? That way there will no longer be a drain on the battery when it sits for a few weeks.?

For what it's worth, Porsche has a function like this on their newer
cars - at least since 2004. If you don't use the car in a week, it
shuts down most of the electronic gadgets to preserve the battery.
If the car is locked, this means you have to use the key to open
the door instead of the fob. Once that is done, the car rearms for
another week.
