Congrats on scoring the D. I am sure that you will be pleased with the
experiences and friends that you will get from ownership. I have owned my D
3-4 years now and due to the very bad shape that it was in I havent gotten
to drive it yet. But I am in the final month of repairs and should get to
drive it soon! But I have to say that I have extreamly enjoyed working on it
and talking with other D owners about what to do and just general chit chat.

PS. Look in your gas tank and see how bad looking the old gas is. If
everything on the car is ok and it was stored well you should get away with
just some fuel system work to get the car running. But there is a lot of
work to be done and I wish you luck on your journey and any questions feel
free to ask, I do what ever I can but I am by far not as experienced as
everyone else on here is.
