[DML] Rear coil question

Anyone have tips on what to use when installing the rear shocks to compress the spring straight? I have a standard 2 claw on one end of a 10" bolt and one claw on the other but can't seem to get enough rooom with mount and arm assemblies to afford enough compression with the shocks from SpecialT (they are a bit shorter than the stock shocks).

  Thanks!
