Steven,

Slate/green and slate/purple go the the left motor.

Slate/red and slate/blue go to the right motor.

Putting 12 volts positve to one wire and 12 volt
ground to the other causes the motor to turn one
direction.  Reverse the wires and the motor turns the
other way.  Hence, up and down motion.

Both switches have only one power input which is the
light green/white wire.  The rocker in the switch
actually controls which way the positive 12 volts is
applied to each motor.  The black wire in each switch
is ground.  Hope this helps.
