Farrar - this is again a misinformation.

You should read and listen to the stuff that people write/say who
have fixed the governors and have understood how it works !


You are probably referring to the capacitors that overheated dried out ?
this is a very common problem for about 30-40% of the defekt governors.

Those capacitors do not die because of power spikes or whatever is 
meant with that. Probably you meant overvoltage spikes, but as the
caps are filter caps for the little alternator, they can never see
overvoltage.
This was just a wrong theory of someone who has never seen the 
schematic of the governor (I have it, I tooke the time and have 
drawn it !).

By the way - if somebody needs the schematic - send me an email.
