OR move up to the 21st century and use a short piece of rope lighting.
It is cool and will not blind oyu if you look directly at it and can
fit into small spaces. It is perfect for working under the dash. The
old style drop light never lays right and always seems to aim right at
your eyes while consuming bulbs at a rediculous rate. Just stick it up
under the dash before you crawl in.
