RE: [DML] Front Strut Bar Question

or put a strain gage on the strut bar, hook it up to a laptop and go for a drive. This would give a quantitative measurement of the forces on the strut bar while driving, should make it pretty clear what the bar is or isn't doing.

Peter (or someone) could build a test strut bar out of two telescoping tubes. Then throw a piece of hose around the inner tube, then go for a spirited drive. When finished, recheck the bar and the hose should have moved by an distance equal to the frame deflection.

I was toying with the idea of taking one bolt out and
packing some clay in there to see how much movement I
get without the bar. It would be an interesting
experiment.
