[DML] Re: Electric DeLorean Update: the Good, the Bad and the Ugly



I had to remove the whole shifter assembly. It's been some time, but I recall it not being easy at all. I had to very carefully ease the hard metal lines that run along the mounting plate out of the way just to remove the hardware. From there I removed it and disassembled it from the bottom. 

I wish I could be more help but it has been a few years since I've even looked in that part of my car.

  What did they weld?  If you weld the lever back into the hole then you can't lift it to get into reverse?  I can't figure out how to remove the piece that's in there to fix it...
