[DML] Re: Different Size Door Guides

The holes are different. The metal ones go in with sheet metal screws,
the plastic ones line up with rivnuts that are pre-drilled in the
doors. If you start out with no guides (early car that missed the
recall) you can use either, but it's difficult to switch from one to
the other because the holes are not in the same location but are so
close to the same that re-drilling doesn't work well. To convert you'd
really have to weld up the holes in the doors and drill new ones. Or go inside the door and use nuts on the inside.

If you buy a new "parts" door it will be pre-drilled and have the riv-
nuts for plastic guides.
