[DML] 4b. Re: Rear Fascia Warped?

Dave,
I have a similar issue with my July, '81 DeLorean.
What I have installed is a one inch outside diameter rubber hose
with a wall thickness of 1/8" and it's 2'-6"long. You may want to
go with a rubber hose with a thicker wall.
The hose can slipped into place at the base of the closing plate
inbetween the closing plate and the epoxy coated frame. It helps to
remove both rear tail light lenses to view both ends of this rubber
hose.
My D came with the rubber hose already installed when I bought it
back in 2001. If I take it out then my engine cover will not close.
I just verified all of this while at work. Yes, it's pretty slow
since it's New Years Eve and who else is really working?

Mark R. Vanyo.
VIN 02261.
