Re: [DML] mystery wire in door

Andy..

A couple of years ago while cleaning up and fixing small problems on the
D we had a short in the wiring of the passenger side door.
We knew what wire it was and for some reason just could not find where it
was. That was when we found the spare wire. We were also told that it was
intended for the heated mirrors. We did replace the wire that was shorting out
and used the white wire for door poppers

This has come up before. Some have speculated it may be for heated mirrors
that never materialized. I think others have used it to power their
automatic door poppers/solenoids.
