[DML] mystery wire in door

Hi, gang!

The other thread about wiring made me remember this: While fixing the
driver's door latch last weekend I noticed a white wire connected to
nothing. This was towards the back of the door, just underneath the
rear end of the mobile glass. Obviously it doesn't attach to anything
(and judging from the condition of the metal it never has). I forgot
to take a picture of it, sorry. But does anyone know what, if
anything, that little white wire is for? I think it could very easily
be used for *some*thing, since it's very close to a bunch of black
ground wires. Has anyone made use of this?
