Re: [DML] stuck door -- but just one...

Thanks, Dom! Yep, that's what we had to do!

We took the door apart and noticed that one of the rods wasn't in its
plastic guide -- there are two guides (more like "clips")... one was
missing and the other was broken. A touch of super glue fixed the broken
guide, and now the latching mechanism seems to work just fine. While we
were at it we reinstalled the old steering wheel and my hands are much
happier now. :)

The doors are obviously not aligned correctly, though, and getting
worse... the driver's door sits too low in front and the passenger door
sits too high -- high enough now for the door light to be on even when
it's closed and locked! There's just my friend and I to work on the car,
so unless someone knows a two-man way of aligning the doors, it looks
like I'll take the D on my trip to Houston in January and drop it off to
have that fixed!

In the meantime I'll listen to all suggestions on how to adjust the
doors so that they will close properly. :)

(Slamming the passenger door doesn't help, by the way.)

Cheers!
