These guys who have never dealt with one of the replacement drives don't understand.  I thought we made this clear before, but the early-version, new drives that I got would frequently bind * in my hand * before placing them on the car.  It sounds like DMCH has isolated the problem and will not be an issue on the next batch.
 
In many cases, it is truly another problem within the system.  But repairing my original gears, and making no other changes to the system fixed my problem for thousands and thousands of miles.

No, I did not replace the large nut that the drive mounts to.
I did however just have a bearing failure on that same wheel.
So who knows....could be anything.
All I know is this, nuts, cables, bearings... explain why when I try to spin these drives the gears lock up?
I suppose the drive could have been damaged by whatever was "wrong" with my car, maybe.
