[DML] Automatic transmission shifting erratically...

My '82 automatic was in storage for 3 years due to a frozen caliper -
I could move it out of the garage and back in once a month to keep
things lubricated but that was it. Anyway, I just had the brakes
fixed day before yesterday at a shop a block away from where I live.
Driving back I noticed the transmission is acting a little funny. It
will shift at about 2000 rpm to 2nd (I suppose it's 2nd) but it won't
go into 3rd until 4000 rpm and after that it seemed to want to hang
up in 2nd. That was in about a mile of driving around the
neighborhood.

I don't want to drive it too much if theres a problem with it. Maybe,
on the other hand, it just needs to be exercised and all will be
fine? What do you guys advise?

Trans fluid is at or a little above mid line when warmed up and it's
red. The governor and solinoids were all replaced at 11k miles and
the transmission was rebuilt about 15 years ago - now it's got about
15k miles on the rebuild and new gov. I guess only about 1k miles
were put on in the last 10 years. The inside still looks new. I want
it to drive like new as well.

Thanks, Fred
