[DML] Re: Volvo engine manual.

Pickings are a little slim on eBay at the moment, but you might want
to grab this one:

I've got a copy. It's 204 pages. Lavishly illustrated with annotated
black & white photographs of step by step instructions for total
engine dissasembly and rebuild (B27 design is identical to B28). Also
includes 10 pages of exploded line drawings. Of the 8 pages of specs
and measurements, many are directly transferrable to B28 (torque specs
for example). Note that post-1983 B28 literature substitutes line
drawings for many of the photographs, but some of those are in color.

Keep your eyes peeled for a CI manual. Pre-1983 includes a 46 page B27
only version and a 132 page version that runs through B28F. Both are
extremely similar formats, but differ markedly from my 1985 printing
(which is actually closer to "CI For Dummies").

I'll bring my Volvo notebooks to FFT if you'd like to inspect them
firsthand. IMHO the admittedly indispensable Workshop Manual still
needs to be augmented with Volvo literature.
