RE: [DML] Oil Filler Cap

If it's in reasonably good condition, something would have to damage the
assembly to make all or part of it drop in.

If something is inside the crankcase that hits it, you already had huge
damage.

I'm just not sure what would break it. Perhaps this is me in "Dad mode"
with 2 young kids at home, but in my house nothing in good shape just
breaks via the finger of God. Despite all claims by the kids,
some-thing or some-one broke it. Same thing here as I see it.

Subject: [DML] Oil Filler Cap

This may sound like a silly question but;
What holds the filter cartridge (102418) in to the oil filler cap
(102415)? The plastic strainer just sits in the bottom of the oil fill
pipe right? If that strainer ever breaks it would end up kicking around
inside the crankcase right?

Thanks
Steve
