RE: [DML] Hard to find windshield?

I bought one from DMCH about a year ago after everyone was worried about
delamination - yes it had a little way down at the base, not the area
you look thru. I was really worried, and then it turned out to be
almost nothing. Just ask them to look at the one they pull and describe
it o you before they ship.

I know that DMCH has plenty of them.... in various states of
delamination.
James, want to chime in here, how many do you guys have that are
sellable.
I know I saw a few on the tour that had very slight problems right at
the
edge that should be fine. If you call to some of the other vendors (PJ
Grady, DMCGG, etc) they might have some windshields without any
delamination
issues tucked in a corner.

My windshield cracked and I gave the job to a friend of mine who has an
auto glass company. At first he said he located one. Now after waiting
a month he said they are out of stock. He said he has two vendors
looking for one. At one point he mentioned cost. I thought about it and
am thinking why is cost a factor; he knows my insurance is paying for
it. Is he looking out for the insurance company or me? I am going to
ask him.
Now my car is off the road because it needs an inspection sticker.
Should it take this long for a windshield?
