Why waste money on a car that will be smashed if he goes through with it  and 
does not manage to kill himself and get nothing out of it.
He sounds like a candidate for the Darwin Awards
 
Instead put it on a DeLorean raffle car (Shameless Hint Hint)
to be raffled off in Gettysburg.
Rather than smash a DeLorean you could win one for $50 and it supports a  Non 
profit organization that benefits all.
