RE: [DML] Re: Reply : Driving with No alternator

One of my customers has 2 cars and D110 on one and a D140 on the other with
a I think a D110 as a back up. I don't require a core so I normally tell the
customers if the Motorola is working then keep it as a back up or spare.
I used to have a spare alternator I would loan customers but a guy in NY
wouldn't return it and wouldn't pay for it either. This is what makes
Vendors trying to help the owners turn a little sourer and require a core
charge.

I probably could change the alternator myself...BUT...the altenrator
is new. It blew after 5 weeks and is warrantied. The garage will
replace it for free, but I have to get it there. So my options to get
my car to the garage are:

1. Drive it the 280 miles with no alternator and hope I make it.
2. Have it shipped and pay a trucker $400.
3. Tow it myself with a U-Haul for $200 and travel 45mph getting 5mpg.
