FWIW, this has not been my experience. I drove my Fiero daily with
Silverstars and never replaced them. I've driven my DeLorean daily for
about 3 years and have not had to replace one yet. Granted, during the
summer the car doesn't see as much night use, but during the colder
months it's dark both going to and from work so they get used both
ways. They seem to last just as long as any other lights to me.
