At least one did. I saw and held it at the Cleveland DCS in 2000. 
Katherine Delorean was their with it as a Sales tool for investment 
into the New DMC2. It was to be used as fund raiser for the new 
cars development. This way if the car did not materialize, you 
would as least have a cool watch to show for your $3500 position
 deposit.
