[DML] bttf event/DCS Vegas

Funny you should ask.  I've been talking with Ken about doing a
presentation on the ride at the DCS show in Vegas.  

 

I started working on the BTTF Ride in '89 working on the Ride Film,
then went to Florida in 90-91 to help open the ride there, and finally
in '93 I was the technical manager for all the show and operations
related systems when the ride opened in Hollywood.

 

I'll have photos, never before seen video, plans, etc. and I should be
able to answer most of the questions you guys can come up with about The
Ride.

The youtube clips are great. Not as good as being there but certainly
better than nothing. Too bad Universal didn't do anything at the
closing of the Florida ride. If anyone has any connections some
backscene video of the ride would be nice. The control room, the
mechanicals, the projection system, etc. They wouldn't let us back
there in Florida. They will be converting the ride into the Simpsons.
