Are you dash vents open?  There is a wheel on the side of the vents that
closes them off.  Check this first before dismantling a bunch of stuff.

You also state that you rebuilt your mode switch.  This switch controls
the position of the various doors in the HVAC system.  If the switch 
was rebuilt incorrectly or the vacuum lines that attach to the switch
were incorrectly reconnected, you could have problems like this.
