RE: [DML] How does warning buzzer work

I knew that ... I was just checking to see if you knew :-)

Actually this was a case of assuming for years it had a headlights on
buzzer. You know what happens when you ASSUME. In this case I feel stupid
and it had nothing to do with you.

Thanks for setting me straight.

It's confusing you because there is no headlight warning. The lights
(headlight or door) have no affect on the buzzer. The buzzer only makes a
racket when the door is open (with it's own door switch), or briefly when
starting if the seat belt is not buckled.

If the key is off, the buzzer will do nothing, so it won't really help with
anything after you shut the car off. If you need a headlight safety, you can
buy a Battery Buddy automatic cutoff, or Houston has a nice solution coming
with the new headlight switch logic box. I'm not sure what the status is of
the headlight switches now (I haven't been paying much attention, 'cause I
don't need one), but I did see some parts at the open house that looked
nice.

I just disconnected my buzzer because every time I started the car, my
passengers would think something was wrong! It's not exactly a pleasant
sound... :-)

Can someone provide a description of how the warning buzzer works? My
headlights warning does not work and that is the one most needed (I'm use to
the auto lights in the Astro).
