The oil gauge is notoriously flakey.? At normal engine temps, the oil pressure will be 30-45 PSI, and at nearly any RPM above idle it will be around 70-80 PSI.? You may want to get the updated oil pressure sender, or you could have a good shop do a mechanical oil pressure test to make sure you aren't really going that low at idle.? I'd put money on a misbehaving OEM sender.

does anyone else have an oil guage that fluctuates upon acceleration 
and deacceleration?  i'm sure its just a guage problem because when i'm 
at a full stop it will go down to almost zero.  just wondering if 
anyone else has this problem.  thanks
