You don't have to remove ALL the hoses. Remove the injector hoses for
the right bank and a couple of hoses on the side of the fuel
distributer. You can then "flip" it over and lay it over the left side
of the motor. Since you mentioned you were not sure that the coil was
gapped properly I would just change the whole thing out and be done
with it. Not worth going in twice.
