[DML] Re: torsion bar issue

I forgot which is which. Both have splines on one end. On the other
end one side has a hex end and one side has a square end. Since they
are twisted in different directions my guess is the factory did it so
they could not be mixed up by accident. For an interesting read and
some pictures, there was an old issue of Delorean World that had an
article on the manufacture of the torsion bars. A good metalurgist may
be able to come up with an alloy that could be machined on the ends
that would not require the cryo treating. Any attempt to weld the bars
will obliterate the cryo treat resulting in subsequent failure.
