You won't need to do this if you look into the air meter to get everything  
lined up.  I know it is finicky, but wouldn't you rather have it 'right'  then 
McGuyver'ed?  I would spend all afternoon doing something the right  way 
before I started using 'significantly' different parts.  Unintended  consequences,??
