[DML] Re: LEDs ... in tail lights?



Modern cars with LED tail lights usually have an array of LEDs to 
brighten up a larger area. Since LEDs only "shine" on top, a reflector 
will not work unless there are also LEDs that face the reflector. When 
only facing outward it will need quite a lot of LEDs to have the same 
brightness as with a standard bulb and reflector.
