[DML] Re: AC compressor rework



Hi Tom,

You also may consider doing what I did when having a defective A/C 
compressor.
There are companies that rebuild old compressors totally.
This way you do not have to waiste time on modifying a different 
model.
Rebuilding usually cost less than half the price of a new one.

For my other car I went to a junk yard and bought a compressor of the 
right type and had that rebuild and installed. A plus is that I now 
have a spare that can be rebuilt when the one currently in use is 
going to be bad.
