I will have you know, I get a similar number of lookers when I'm driving 
one of my Yugos as when I'm in my Delorean.  (If you meant something that 
really doesn't draw a crowd, my beat-up Chevy pickup fills the bill 
nicely.)  The only difference between the D and the Yugos seems to be how 
abruptly people change direction to look- the Delorean is an instant draw, 
the Yugo seems to attract more slowly but just as surely (like people need 
to reassure themselves that it's really OK to look at a Yugo).

Also, people make me offers to buy both types of car at about an equal 
rate.

Something I've found helps when you're in a hurry at the gas station, is 
to open the engine compartment and check the oil when you're filling up. 
That way, everything's open for quick looks, and when the tank's full, 
it's a natural time to leave.  I'm not too antisocial, really...
