RE: [DML] Fuse No.8 keeps blowing

Andrew, Unfortunately # 8 fuse also supply's #2 fuse, so if # 2 isn't
blowing then it may be just isolated to #8 only. #8 gets it's power thru the
headlight switch which has a black ground wire going to it. I'm not for sure
where it winds up but since there are so many problems with the headlight
switches melting then I would start there for the short.
Then if that looks ok, the RO red/orange wire branches off the headlight
switch goes to about 4 different places. The rheostat below the center
consol, the dash lights, the clock circuit and tail lights. There really may
not be a short but just an over load on the fuse. Start with the tail light
boards first and then work you way back. Look for a pinched wire somewhere.
You might find it where the clock power wire R/O goes thru the lower consol.
It could be pinched there. So many places since it branches off several
places.

Subject: [DML] Fuse No.8 keeps blowing

Hi,
My car has developed the rather annoying habit of blowing it's no.8 fuse.I'm
pretty keen to
fix it asap as it has the instrument cluster lights on it and when I drove
home last night I
couldn't read any of the instruments.I was going to start by checking and
cleaning the earths
for the various curcuits on fuse 8.Does anyone know where the earths are?
Thanks for any help
