Re: [DML] Hot wire on top of Frame.

I was removing the starter from my D -I think it is bad- and noticed
the 2 gauge main +12 wire sits on top of the steel frame. And barely
squeezes through at hole into the engine bay.

Is this normal? It would seem to me that as this wire wears against
the frame it could short out and cause a fire.

I am seriously thinking of changing the routing of this wire.

However, I tried to loosen it and it will only come out in pieces. i
would probably have to leave the piece on top of the frame.

Anyone else dealt with the wire when removing/replacing the frame?

Is this an incorrect installation from the factory?

Bob
