RE: [DML] Universal Orlando permanently closing BTTF Ride on March 30

I can tell you two things, when I teied to purchase my Delorean from Universal, it took almost two years to get the job done even with an Executive VP in my corner pushing the deal through. They have no good process of legitaimately disposing of unneeded assets.

On the other hand, I was sorking at Universal in Hollywood in '93 as BTTF was being built there. We tore down the old Battlestar Galactica attaction to put it in. A lot of cool stuff just went into the dumpster. I followe it in and now have a cylon head in my garage that nobody seemed to care about.

I think the moral of the story is, look for a friend on the inside. There may be plenty of stuff to grab if your timing is right and you are discreet. Getting anything officially will likely be impossible.

There are lots of smaller props in the holing rooms (24 of them). These include hoberboard replicas, framed photos, Grays sports almanacs, diner menus, save the clocktower leaflets, etc. All of these are reproductions, not used in the 3 films.

Happy Dumpster Diving...

Tom

What I would like to know is what they will do with all the parts and props?
I'd love to get some of that stuff!
