I was surprised to see this car was listed/closed on eBay:

...because it was 3 miles from my house.

I contacted seller to see if the new owner was local. I began an 
email dialogue with him, seemed like a nice guy. He said the deal 
fell through because the buyer (a local neighbor) did not complete 
the deal. I wrote back for him to call me so I could offer other 
selling options, e.g., forums, local car shows, etc. He never called 
back.

I found out this week that he passed away last week, and the widow 
called me because she had found my email, and is interested in 
selling the car.

I have not seen it other than in the description and pictures on 
eBay. She said they are the original owners and put only 17,700 miles 
on it, and that other than the seats it looks and runs good (and 
maintenance records are available). I felt bad for her, and offered 
to put out the notice that car was for sale.

If you are serious and want someone local and knowledgable to look at 
it, I would not be your best choice to review it, but I am sure there 
are others in the area that could.
