My D has actually been more reliable than my Lexus over the last two years.  I am sure I have spent more money on my Lexus for show-stopping problems than I have with the DeLorean.  The DeLorean has received much more cosmetic and upgrade dollars, however.

My DMC's are just as reliable as my 95 Taurus...  and
it is eaiser to find parts for the DMC!
