RE: [DML] Brakes broke..

Matthew, I will agree about getting the correct part for the Delorean.
That's why we import parts from all over the world to get the correct ones.
Saab MC have been on cross reference long before I started my business so I
went along with what was and has been done for years.
As far as doing the engineering on some parts I do that if necessary, but I
haven't done it on all parts. I go along with the engineering that the
factories have done. Why re-invent the wheel.
As far as selling MC. I have about 50 in stock now and 26 more coming from
Europe. I do go thru a lot of them.

John,

You have sold at least 200+ Saab MC to DeLorean owners? That seems
like a lot of master cylinders for one vendor to sell to such a small
community. You are selling these to us without any technical
assessment? Is there any Saab out there running the same tire size
combo as the DeLorean? Any of them with the same weight distribution?
I am sorry but I would never buy a part (especially brakes) from you
because you feel it is "good for the DeLorean".

Just because a part fits or bolts up doesn't make it the right part
and just because no problems have been reported doesn't mean there
aren't problems out there. The correct parts are carefully engineered
for each application and any deviation from this should also be
carefully engineered.

Matthew
