[DML] Re: Steering problem

Kevin,

Your hard steering sounds similar to a problem I experienced a few
years ago. It WAS the U-joint in the steering.

I removed the joint and soaked the joint in 90 weight gear oil, heated
near the boiling point for a period of about 8 hours. This seemed to
force the lube into the joint and the problem has never returned.

<<<<This is a potential safety hazard (i.e. "BOOM"). Be careful.....

Another possible problem could be a break in the collapsable part of
the column. This is visible under the dash.
