[DML] Problem with new Master Clutch Cylinder

I have done a complete clutch system replacement with all new parts.
All parts were installed correctly. I add DOT4 fluid to the clutch
reservoir and depress the pedal a few times. Most of the fluid
overflows out the top and goes to the floor. After that the cylinder
will not accept any more fluid and the pedal doesn't push any fluid in
any direction.

I have read previous posts concerning a check valve in the clutch
master that prevents fluid from returning to the reservoir when the
clutch pedal was depressed. Could this check valve be stuck? Could
it be installed backwards? Is there any way to repair this myself or
should I take this up with the vendor? I do have a voicemail in to
the vendor and am awaiting a response there too.

I appreciate any insight anyone can give.

Thanks everyone.
